About The Big Chill....

The Big Chill has been creating great meals and memories for more than a decade.  Originally, The Big Chill was Charlotte's largest  Dinner and Classic Jazz and R&B Night club hosting such celebrity acts as The Tommy Dorsey Band to John Legend. With such high demands to continually rent out this beautiful venue  for special events, owner Darcy Donevan found it difficult to continually book jazz acts due to the conflicts with with hosted events.  Giving in to the public's demand, 3 years ago, The Big Chill became Charlotte's Premier Special Events Venue available for Wedding Receptions, Corporate Events, Rehearsal Dinners and Special Events. 


Choosing a location for your event can be fustrating and time consuming. The Big Chill can take the stress out of selecting the perfect sized venue for your  special occasion.  Our venue will accommodate  up to 615 guests for a stand up reception and over 300 for a sit-down dinner in the main room.   For smaller more intimate dinners, we have our Dilworth Room which can comfortably seat 75 for a sit down meal and our Parlor which is just the perfect size for a Bridesmaid Luncheon.   Please be our guest and "chill" for your event while we  take care of  all the details, from catering to the clean  up.
