begin to thank you for doing such a stellar job from the food to the service it
was amazing. My family as well as my husbands family just raved about how
delicious the food was and most importantly how fresh it was. This location and
what you guys did to make my wedding happen like it did was worth every

We are so appreciative to the Big Chill for making our wedding reception everything we dreamed it would be. Tyler & Mekenzie were so great to work with - they met us countless times to walk through the events of the evening, food tastings, room set-ups, vendor meetings. The night of our reception Tyler coordinated everything from the arrival of the guests and wedding party, to cake cutting, dining, toasts, first dances and our wonderful departure. He even chased down a hotel shuttle to make sure "to-go" boxes were delivered to the bride & groom as a late night snack. The creativity that Tyler showed in having us be announced on stage to "trick" our guests was one of the best parts of the evening and something our guests still talk about! The place was beautiful inside and out and everything was set up exactly as promised. The food was beyond delicious and we received countless compliments on how wonderful it was prepared and presented on the buffet. The night went smoothly without a single glitch thanks to Tyler's coordination and professionalism. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an elegant, yet fun, atmosphere for their wedding reception. Our guests really enjoyed the set up of the room with easy access to the dance floor, bar, lounging area and tables set up to see all the action. No doubt about it - we would work with the Big Chill again and again if we could and thank them for their professionalism and commitment to quality and service. When our search for a reception venue brought us to the Big Chill, right away we knew it was the perfect location! At first sight, the Big Chill offered everything aesthetically we could ever want for our reception; we loved it and knew our guests would love it too! Tyler and Mekenzie were so personable. Definitely pros and the best at what they do, they made us feel completely at ease! Offering expert advice, vendor recommendations and other local contacts, Tyler and Mekenzie took care of everything! They were so helpful every step of the way while making the process fun and easy! The day finally arrived and it was PERFECT!!! Everything went off so smoothly and our guests loved every minute of the reception, from the cocktail hour, to the delicious food, the beautiful decor and awesome dance floor. Definitely the best night of our lives! We couldn't have asked for a better evening or a better venue!!

This is our second year in a row having our company Christmas party at The Big Chill. Both years, we have had a fabulous time! The planning of the party was so simple as the team there is great to work with. I have been in charge of the planning of the party both years, and everyone thanks me for all of the details and hard work I put into the party, but really it’s the staff at the Big Chill that pull it off every time for us, and I just get to enjoy with everyone else. I would recommend this place for any large (or medium) event you are planning!

I recently used The Big Chill as the venue for my son’s rehearsal dinner and could not have been more pleased with the event. The venue, itself, is gorgeous and adding our own decorations added a special touch to our style. Tyler Lee and the staff at The Big Chill were so easy to work with and very accommodating. They were very detailed and ensured that all plans we had discussed were carried out. The food presentation was beautiful and just as delicious as our tasting session. The plated dinner for over 60 guest was quickly served by a very professional and courteous wait staff. It was a grand evening. Hats off to The Big Chill! If you are considering an event, I highly recommend this venue.

I just wanted to take a moment before I got caught up in moving and teaching
this fall, to thank you for our reception. Nate and I just can't stop talking
about our wedding weekend. Our reception was perfect despite us getting off to
a late start, the only thing I wish is that it could have lasted longer!! ;) We
really appreciate you giving us the extra 30 minutes that really meant a lot to
us. But I can't explain how quickly the entire reception flew by, we had such a
blast! I was impressed at how smoothly everything went. You did such a great
job coordinating everyone and keeping things moving. The exit was amazing with
all the sparklers and the carriage ride! The food was delicious and Nate and I

“Four years ago I moved our Junior-Senior prom to the Big Chill;
it was the best decision I ever made. It all could have gone wrong
because the year that we had our first prom there I had earlier made the
decision that it would include a dinner that all students must attend, and that
they must arrive by 9 p.m. and could not leave until 12 a.m.
I was really nervous as our students had always been able to eat
wherever they wanted and then leave prom at whatever time they wanted. I
should not have been worried because there were two key people at the Big Chill
who were involved in the beginning to make certain the evening was a success;
they were and are Shawn Jakowczuk, General Operations Manager and Tyler
Lee, Event Manager. Under their direction they make certain the
students feel some ownership in the evening by holding a tasting so a small
group of seniors have input into the menu. This year they had the
same group come back to view a different table arrangement which allowed for a
larger dance area, and less crowding for those still dining. I have
no doubt the sophisticated environment makes our students feel more grown up.
I cannot say enough about the staff, and how they go out of their
way to be courteous and helpful. The food that is served is
extremely good and well presented.
The Big Chill is very accommodating as you make changes over the
years. They are also there to offer advice to make your life easier
as well. When you call and do have to leave a message I can always
count on Tyler or Shawn to get back to me in short order. They are
incredible where details are concerned. This last May I was involved
with an upset student and Tyler saw to it that before the buffet line was
closed, dinner was put aside for me.
I work at a school, and have for 29 years, where people expect
functions to be done well and that there be follow through. You can
expect both and more from the Big Chill.

"The Big Chill made my wedding
planning a dream. It was the most beautiful room we had seen in all our
searching, no extraneous decor needed, it stands on its own. The food was
delicious and the menu optionsplentiful. But, the service was what was
truly top notch. The staff is always responsive, no communication went without
attention and the follow-up was impeccable. Our reception ran like a well
oiled machine. There were no surprises and every detail was attended to.
Nothing felt chaotic or disorganized, you can feel their experience. I
cannot say enough good things about Tyler and his staff, I only wish we could

Big Chill did an amazing job with our wedding ceremony and
reception. We were very impressed by the staff, and they did an excellent
job. From the moment we walked in for the first time to the day of the
wedding, the staff was with us for every step of the way. The location is
perfect, and the prices are the best in Charlotte. The food was superb,
and the atmosphere was incredible. They worked with all of our vendors to
help us organize our wedding, and they even helped us find some of our vendors.
All of our guests kept saying how perfect the wedding was. We also loved
the fact that no one had to travel to a separate location for the reception
because we were able to have everything right there in the three
large areas provided, plus a separate room for gifts and intimate conversation
with guests. The staff at The Big Chill are absolutely incredible, and we
appreciate everything they did. It was a magical, wonderful evening which
